Foster the Music is a month-long campaign for National Foster Care Awareness Month in support of Kids In A New Groove. Mayor Steve Adler has named May 1st as Kids In A New Groove Day in recognition of our mission!
Participating local businesses will contribute in a range of ways such as a percentage of opt-in sales or by hosting a special event during the month of May. By being a patron of these businesses, the community provides the continuation of one-on-one music mentorship for youth in foster care, increases the number of students able to benefit from this program, and gives students the ability to increase autonomy and self-confidence.
Kids In A New Groove will also host “A Decade of Grooves,” a celebratory brunch honoring 10 years of providing youth in foster care with free music lessons and mentorship, on May 19th at Native Hostel from 1:00- 5:00 pm. There will be live music, brunch appetizers, cocktails, student performances, and a special awards presentation. Click here to RSVP.
Thank You to our 2019 Foster the Music Participating Businesses!
